Where To Stay in Orange Beach, AL: My Turquoise Place Review

Two tall beachfront condo towers at Turquoise Place Orange Beach with curved balconies stand side by side against a clear blue sky. The buildings rise above white sand and scattered palm trees, with beach access structures visible near the base.

If you’re looking for a luxury beach front getaway that still has plenty of space for the whole family (i.e. everyone needs their own bedroom!), Turquoise Place in Orange Beach, Alabama is such a great spot!

I visited Orange Beach with friends during the off-season and we had an amazing time soaking in our hot tubs and enjoying the resort amenities, even during a record November cold snap! Turquoise Place really delivers on the luxury with amazing beach views and so many great amenities.

So, whether you’re planning a family beach trip, a couple’s getaway, or a girls weekend away, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know about Turquoise Place, give you a peek into the condos we rented, and be honest with you about the pros and cons of this resort.

FYI: We were hosted on this stay, but all opinions are fully my own!

Overview of Turquoise Place

Before we dive into the specifics of Turquoise Place in Orange Beach, let’s talk about the more general things you need to know.

First of all, Turquoise Place is a luxury condo resort right on the beach. And when I say luxury, I really mean it! Every condo is elegantly decorated, every balcony has a private hot tub, and there are countless amenities here!

No, it’s doesn’t have a full service spa like The Beach Club (another great Spectrum Resort I’ve stayed at!), but I think everything else about this resort MORE than makes up for that!

The full Turquoise Place resort consists of two towers, parking decks, pools, an activities deck, and more!

You can book both Turquoise Place and The Beach Club directly and use the code ERINBURK to get 10% off your stay!

Turquoise Place Location

Turquoise Place is located in Orange Beach at 26302 Perdido Beach Blvd. This is super close to the Alabama/Florida state line (the famous Flora-Bama is just 5 miles away).

And because this in Orange Beach, there is plenty to do nearby! There are countless restaurants like Zeke’s Restaurant, The Gulf, and Coastal Orange Beach (all restaurants I love!) nearby. And it’s not far from The Wharf (an entertainment complex with restaurants and shops) and the beautiful Gulf State Park.

I stayed at Turquoise Place with a group of friends, and it was so great to have to many great restaurants nearby to enjoy because honestly we didn’t really want to cook while on a retreat!

Parking & Check-In

Modern beachfront lobby with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking palm trees and the ocean. The space features white swivel chairs, teal accent pillows, and round tables on tiled flooring under soft ceiling lights.
The lobby at Turquoise Place was so serene!

When we first arrived at Turquoise Place we pulled into the parking garage and let the parking attendant know we were checking in. He showed us where to park temporarily to check in on the ground floor.

We parked there and walked through the front doors to check in at the front desk. Check-in was super easy! Then they told us where to park for the rest of our stay, and we drove up to the right floor of the parking deck to easily unload our stuff and take the elevators up to our condos.

Pro Tip: Make sure you know which tower your condo is in to make check-in easy!

Turquoise Place Accommodations

Now let’s talk about the accommodations! Because I know you really want to know what the rooms look like!

We were with a pretty big group of friends, so we ended up having two condos: one four-bedroom and one three-bedroom. I’ll give you a look into both of them, but know that both of them are plenty spacious, had full-sized kitchens, washers and dryers, and a hot tub and grill on the balcony.

Four-Bedroom Condo

Spacious beachside condo interior with an open floor plan, featuring a modern kitchen, pendant lighting, and a curved island countertop in the foreground. The living area includes neutral-toned sofas and floor-to-ceiling windows with sheer curtains offering a clear view of the ocean.
We had SO MUCH SPACE in our four-bedroom condo!

First, let’s take a look at the four-bedroom condo. Honestly, I was BLOWN AWAY by the size and elegance of this!

There were, of course, four bedrooms, all with plenty of room and all with their own bathroom. I actually stayed in the master bedroom, which also had a GIANT bathroom complete with a shower, a tub, two sinks, and a huge walk-in closet.

Coastal-themed bedroom with a gray wooden bed frame, white bedding, and matching nightstands topped with turquoise glass lamps. A beach-inspired painting hangs above the bed, with a ceiling fan, tiled floors, and a small writing desk completing the space.

Spacious bathroom with a deep soaking tub framed in wood and surrounded by beige tile. Double vanities with black countertops, wicker chair seating, and large mirrors line one wall, with towels and a toiletry bag neatly arranged on the counter.
Honestly, the master bathroom was unreasonably huge!

The living room had lots of seating, and there was a large round dining table plus bar stools at the long kitchen bar.

And the kitchen? Oh my goodness the kitchen. There was so much here, from a huge refrigerator to three (THREE?!) dishwashers (I’m not even sure how you use three dishwashers?).

Then, because this room is on the end of the building, it had a wrap around balcony accessible from the living space and master bedroom, giving you views of both the beach and the city of Orange Beach. Plus a second balcony accessible from the other three bedrooms. The main balcony had a hot tub, comfortable seating, a dining table, and a grill.

Peaceful beach scene at sunset with a long pier stretching into the calm ocean and a small ship sailing offshore. The golden sun casts a warm reflection across the water and white sandy shoreline.
The view from our balcony! Did I take a picture of the hot tub? Apparently not, because we were too busy enjoying it!

It was super cold when we happened to visit in November (like, truly a historic cold front) so we didn’t spend quite as much time out on the balcony as we would have liked. But we did really enjoy the hot tub just about every night!

This condo was the perfect space for our group to gather and hang out. Because honestly there was just SO MUCH space!

Three-Bedroom Condo

Open-concept kitchen and living room with warm wood cabinetry, a rustic dining table, and a cozy cream-colored sectional sofa decorated with navy and striped throw pillows. Pendant lighting hangs above the kitchen island, and framed artwork and matching table lamps accent the back wall.
The kitchen, living, and dining area in the 3-bedroom condo.

The other half of our group stayed in a three-bedroom condo. And while it’s not as luxuriously spacious as the four-bedroom version, there was still lots of space, beautiful views of the beach, and all the same amenities as the bigger condo. (Okay, maybe minus the three dishwashers.)

One bedroom here opens out to the balcony with views of the beach, while the other two are at the back of the condo. The kitchen is still a great size, there’s still a utility room and a wet bar, and of course, a hot tub.

Serene bedroom with a coastal vibe, featuring a white wood bed frame with crisp white bedding, flanked by nightstands and modern lamps. A detailed octopus illustration hangs above the bed, and a striped armchair sits near floor-to-ceiling curtains.

If you want this exact unit, we were in Unit D1407! Book here with code ERINBURK for 10% off.

Five-Bedroom Condo

We didn’t stay in one of the five-bedroom condo penthouses, but do know that they are there if you need to book for a bigger group! There are over 5,500 square feet of space here!

Turquoise Place Amenities

Turquoise Place truly is like home and resort living combined. You have the comfort of spacious condos with kitchens and and other amenities combined with all the activities and extras that come with a resort. So here’s what you’ll find at Turquoise Place.

Do keep in mind that some of these amenities are closed seasonally (like the waterslide and splash pad).

Pools & Waterslide

Bright blue spiral water slide curving down into a resort pool surrounded by palm trees and tan tile decking. The slide is built beside a beachfront property with a clear view of the ocean and white sand dunes in the background.
The water slide at Turquoise Place looks so fun!

There are so many great pool spots in Turquoise Place! There are two indoor pools (one in each tower), outdoor pools, a splash pad for the littlest kids, a four-story water slide, AND a lazy river!

Plus, by the indoor pools there are saunas and steam room.

One of the indoor pools at Turquoise Place…perfect for year-round swimming!

Like I said, it was SUPER cold while we were there, so we never made it into one of the pools (even though the indoor pools were open!). But it was easy to see how fun it would be to take a family trip here!

Outdoor lazy river pool winding through a tropical landscape with palm trees and lush greenery. The bright blue sky and surrounding cityscape add to the relaxed resort atmosphere.
The lazy river is outside in the back part of the resort.

Amenity Deck

There’s an entire part of the C Tower devoted to family fun. On the top of the Amenity Deck, you’ll find a putting green, the entrance to the water slide, and a family movie area.

Other Family Fun

Next to the pool on C Tower you’ll find a tennis and pickleball court, while in the same spot in D Tower you’ll find a playground area for kids next to the lazy river.

Plus there are life-sized games (like giant chess) near the pool area. And then there are Fitness Centers in each tower and shopping.

And with all those amenities I haven’t even mentioned THE BEACH, as in, probably the entire reason you’re here! (You can rent beach chairs from the resort too!)

Turquoise Place Restaurants & Dining

Even though there is so much great dining nearby in Orange Beach, there still might be times you don’t want to get in the car and head out. So there is still some great dining at Turquoise Place!

Piper’s Place

Piper’s Place is the spot for treats at Turquoise Place. It’s located next to the outdoor pool, and you can get ice cream and snow cones here.

Turquoise Place Pros & Cons

Let’s talk about the pros and cons of staying at Turquoise Place. These will be different for everyone. Like for me, being in the crowded Orange Beach is more of a con, but to other people that’s exactly the beach vibe they want!

Pros of Turquoise Place

  • Conveniently located in Orange Beach, close to lots of restaurants and entertainment.
  • A hot tub on every balcony!
  • Lots of amenities for your family!
  • Really feels like a luxury beach stay.

Cons of Turquoise Place

  • Being in Orange Beach may feel more crowded than a stay at the more secluded Beach Club.
  • There’s no full-service spa or fine dining restaurant on property.

My Overall Review of Turquoise Place: Would I Stay Here Again?

All in all, I would absolutely stay at Turquoise Place again! I loved the luxury feel, the spacious condos, the amenities, and the convenience to great dining! Really, there was nothing disappointing about our stay at all except for the fact that we were there during a historic cold front! (But that just made the hot tubs more enjoyable!)

I will say though that a crowded beach isn’t usually my favorite, so I’m not sure this would be my first choice for a place to stay during the busy summer season. But during the off-season or shoulder season? Absolutely sign me up for another stay! It was super quiet and lovely!
